Magistrate Emmanuel Iyanna of the Chief Magistrate Court sitting in WusZone 6 has ordered a warrant of arrest of the social media critic and online police, Martin's Vincent Otse  popularly known VeryDarkBlackMan (VDM) over criminal charge of defamation against Mercy Chinwo, a gospel singer.

The order was granted due to his absence in court today Thursday 13th of March 2025 after being summoned on the 5th of March 2025.

The court proceeding established that the defendant lawyer, Mr. Deji Adeyanju pleaded with the court for reversal of the order and affirmed his stand to ensure his client (VDM)'s appearance in the next court hearing, a request which was dismissed by the Chief Magistrate Emmanuel Iyanna.

The order was directed to all law enforcement agencies to uphold the arrest and present him in court.
