The arrest of popular social media critic Verydarkman has taken a controversial turn as his lawyer Deji Adeyanju has recently called out Femi Falana, accusing him of staying silent.

Deji Adeyanju did this in a recent post where he questioned the human rights activist, Femi Falana.

He claimed that Falana was yet to condemn the arrest or speak on behalf of VDM.

“Our revered leader and mentor, Femi Falana SAN yet to condemn the arrest of VDM. Interesting times indeed!”. Adeyanju wrote.

He also made reference to a similar incident under Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, claiming that he was the first to speak up against the case despite once being a target.

“When the boy that lead people to attack me under Buhari became a victim under the same Buhari and was arrested, I was the first person to condemn it”

The arrest of VDM has caused a lingering controversy with celebrities and influencers calling for his release while others have taken to the streets of Abuja to protest on his behalf.
