Former President Muhammadu Buhari has described Nigeria as a challenging country to govern, reflecting on his experiences during his time in office.

Speaking at an All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders’ meeting at the Government House in Katsina, Buhari acknowledged the complexities of leading the nation, noting that despite his efforts to tackle various challenges, he often faced criticism.

“Those outside the corridors of power do not understand the complexities and difficulties facing Nigeria,” Buhari stated.

On a personal note, he revealed that his health has improved since leaving office, adding that visitors have remarked that he looks better than before.

Addressing political leaders, Buhari urged them to fear God and remain transparent in managing public resources.

The stakeholders’ meeting, convened in preparation for the upcoming February 15 local government elections in Katsina State, was attended by Governor Dikko Umar Radda, former governors Aminu Bello Masari and Ibrahim Shehu Shema, as well as current and former members of the National Assembly and other APC chieftains.
